With live performances by The Spazmatics and Mario Flores & The Soda Creek Band and music provided by DJ TONYC, the Festival de Cascarones drew approximately 4,000 people to A&M-SA's Main Campus. The Fiesta Kids Fun Zone was a hit with kids, featuring giant hamster ball races, an obstacle course, face painting and balloon making. 40 booths sold a variety of food and refreshments, ranging from kettle corn, funnel cakes and hot dogs to turkey legs and pulled pork sandwiches.

Fiesta Commission President Fernando Reyes, his wife First Lady of Fiesta Norma Reyes and Miss Fiesta San Antonio® 2015 Alixzandra Pena attended the event and presented a gift to the University to celebrate the Festival's official event status. A second special event was held in the Vista Room to celebrate Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson's 100 days as president of A&M-SA.
